Arrest Made in Cherry Hill Hit and Run

Elisha Pollosco, 25, has been charged with the hit and run death of 25-year-old Binh Tsan in Cherry Hill. Police put an end to the Cherry Hill hit and run mystery after a tip led them to Pollosco’s home in Berlin.

Police believe Tsan was hit by Pollosco last week while crossing Route 70 near Barclay Farms, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer. Traffic was reportedly heavy and Tsan and a companion had just finished lunch across the street from the law office where she worked. The two were crossing Route 70 as traffic stalled, when Pollosco tried to illegally pass on the shoulder and struck Tsan.

Two days after the accident, Tsan died and police were still without a suspect, reports the Inquirer. It's unclear how Pollosco was able to get away from the accident scene given the heavy traffic that was stalled. However, over the weekend, New Jersey police received a tip that led them to Pollosco's home -- her car was parked in the driveway and there was damage consistent with the accident.

Pollosco was brought into custody and charged with leaving scene of the motor vehicle accident resulting in death. If convicted of the Cherry Hill hit and run, Elisha Pollosco could face a 180-day prison sentence.

In addition, if Pollosco is found to have been driving recklessly, she may also be charged with vehicular homicide. In this case, she would face a sentence between five and ten years in jail. And because Pollosco left the scene of the accident that killed Binh Tsan, a judge is likely not to rule favorably for her if she is convicted, and Elisha Pollosco could see a sentence closer to ten years than five.
